Badia)advocats provides advice on the refurbishment and change of use of a complex protected by UNESCO
Badia)advocats advised the HOSPITAL DE LA SANTA CREU I SANT PAU FOUNDATION about turning the old hospital facility into an International Knowledge Centre.
The Catalan Modernist site of the former Hospital de Sant Pau is home to leading international institutions in sustainability, health and education.
In 2009 health services at Hospital de Sant Pau moved to a new and modern building in the northeast corner of the complex, thus freeing up Domenech i Montaner’s Catalan Modernist Pavilions. The restructuring of the premises began with refurbishing the Pavilions declared World Heritage by UNESCO and also included drafting a Special Urban Development Plan and negotiating the agreements for providing the facilities to international institutions and organisations.
Badia)advocats carried out the registration and urban planning operations which enabled this conversion and also devised the strategy and negotiated terms with the institutions and organisations using the Catalan Modernist Pavilions.
